Inspired by the beautiful technology and music from our home planet ∫˙˚˚∆¬˙˙˙˙˙∫ˆˆß√√ (roughly translating to "Dry Ice" in English), our ARK presentation to the Olympic committee is centered around the symbiosis of our harmonic melodies and numbingly frigid scenery.
Dry Ice is extremely cold. It is so cold that we are able to exploit properties of physics unthinkable on earth. With a mechanism related loosely to quantum-locking we are able to exploit fields of sound waves to generate energy, build our cities, and produce music of unthinkable quality. In this way, our ARK display aims to give the committee a taste of the power of our technology as well as its inherent beauty.
The ARK is a handcrafted laser harp, with a strong artistic presence. The harp consists of eight laser strings, each triggering a sound, purple LED, and christmas tree movement. The snowflake at the base of the ARK is a lever that changes the volume of the sounds, and an icicycle in the center acts as a clock ticking down the remaining time of ARK use.
By the end of the demonstration, the Olympic committee will surely recognize the raw beauty and grandeur of our planet and select our world to be the host of the next Intergalactic Olympics.
